Terms and conditions

Card Compact Terms — Programme-Manager services and additional Card Compact services · Version 1.2 (final) · 01.09.2026

These Card Compact Terms are entered into between you and Card Compact Ltd., 483 Green Lanes, London N13 4BS, United Kingdom (“Card Compact”, “we”, “us”, “our”). They govern the services we provide as Programme Manager for the king products and the additional Card Compact services set out in Part 2. They apply in addition to the cardholder terms of the issuer of your Account, Card and e-money.

0 Relationship to the Issuer Terms

0.1 Your Account, Card and e-money for the king one plan product are issued by Heuro SAS, with Moorwand Ltd as programme partner and BIN sponsor (their cardholder terms, the “Issuer Terms”). On all matters concerning the Account, the Card, the e-money and the payment service, including the right of withdrawal and the withdrawal instruction, the Issuer Terms govern and prevail.

0.2 These Card Compact Terms do not repeat the Issuer Terms. They govern only (a) the services Card Compact provides as Programme Manager (Part 1) and (b) the additional Card Compact services (Part 2). Where a topic is governed by the Issuer Terms it is not re-governed here; on any conflict concerning the card, e-money or payment service the Issuer Terms prevail.

1 Programme-Manager services

1.1 The king App, onboarding and identity verification

We provide the king App and the online journey through which your Account and Card are ordered and managed, the supporting technology, and the onboarding and identity-verification handling. The Account and Card themselves are provided by the issuer under the Issuer Terms. If you do not complete identity verification, the Account and Card contract is not concluded and your registration continues as a king club Membership (clause 2.1), through which you may use the other king services.

1.2 Online withdrawal function

Because the king products are ordered through the king App, we provide the withdrawal function required by the Issuer Terms and by law in the App, as the online interface through which the contract is concluded: clearly labelled (“withdraw contract” / “Vertrag widerrufen” / “Widerruf bestätigen”), continuously available and easily accessible throughout the withdrawal period. The function lets you enter your name and identify the contract, submit a withdrawal declaration and confirm it through a separate confirmation step, and it records the electronic channel of your declaration. We then send you, without undue delay and on a durable medium, an acknowledgment of receipt recording the content of your declaration and the date and time of receipt. Your declaration is treated as made in time if you submit it through the function before the withdrawal period expires. The substance of the withdrawal right is set out in the Issuer Terms; this clause governs how you exercise it in the App.

1.3 Adequate explanations and human contact

Before you are bound, we give you, free of charge and on a durable medium, adequate explanations of the Account and Card and of any ancillary services, including their main characteristics and the specific consequences for you, so that you can assess whether the product suits your needs and financial situation; this covers the consequences of a negative balance. Where you interact with us through an automated tool such as a chatbot, you may request and obtain contact with a member of our staff before you are bound and, in justified cases, after conclusion. This supplements the pre-contractual information under the Issuer Terms.

1.4 Pre-contractual information, durable medium and reminder

We provide the Issuer Terms, these Card Compact Terms and the mandatory pre-contractual information for a distance financial-services contract on a durable medium at or before conclusion (attached to the order-confirmation email), keep them retrievable and downloadable in the App, and record their provision. Where this information reaches you less than one day before you are bound, we additionally send you, on a durable medium and between one and seven days after conclusion, a reminder of your right of withdrawal and how to exercise it. This provision and logging make the start of the withdrawal period and the discharge of our information duties demonstrable.

1.5 Customer service and communications

You can reach our Customer Service by telephone on +44 20 3695 3242, by email at support@kingpay.eu, and in writing at Card Compact Ltd, 483 Green Lanes, London N13 4BS, United Kingdom. Complaints are handled under the Issuer Terms and the Complaints Policy; this clause does not restate them.

The functions in clauses 1.2 to 1.4 are operated by Card Compact in the App on the issuers’ behalf. The statutory duties they serve rest with the issuer as the provider of the financial service; this Part sets out how Card Compact operates them and does not transfer those duties. Actual compliance also depends on the onboarding interface, the information set and the timing in operation, which are maintained in line with these clauses.

2 Additional Card Compact services

Each service below is a distinct contractual relationship with Card Compact, separate from the Account and Card. Each is governed solely by its clause below together with the common provisions in Part 3, and none repeats the Issuer Terms.

2.1 king club Membership

The king club Membership is a free benefits and loyalty programme and is not a payment instrument. It gives registered users access to digital gift cards, partner offers and the king coin programme (subject to the eligibility in clause 2.2). Use requires registration in the king club app and is open to persons of legal age; you must keep your login credentials secure and use the Membership personally. There is no entitlement to the Membership, and we may modify or discontinue the programme or individual features where this does not place you at a significant disadvantage; we give two months’ notice in text form of a discontinuation. The Membership is free; premium features, where marked, may carry a fee. You may end the Membership at any time to the end of a month in the app.

Each partner company is responsible for the content and products it makes available within the Membership.

2.2 king coin loyalty

king coin is available to holders of an active king card account; you must activate king coin before you can earn or redeem. It is a loyalty programme in which you earn, hold and redeem points shown in the king App. king coins represent a value but are not money, are non-transferable, cannot be paid out or refunded, and are accepted only within the programme. They are valid for three years from the date earned. Earning and redemption activities and any redemption fees are shown in the app before you proceed. We may suspend your access to king coin or revoke coins where you have breached these terms or your card-account terms, reversed the activity that earned them, or acted fraudulently or abusively; we decide this reasonably and tell you as soon as possible. Where an activity that earned coins is later reversed or cancelled, you must repay the corresponding coins or the benefit you obtained with them. Closing your card account forfeits any unredeemed king coins.

2.3 Credit checks via Boniversum

Where offered, we give you access to a credit check through Creditreform Boniversum GmbH, Hammfelddamm 13, 41460 Neuss. The check is open to customers of legal age with full legal capacity, and you must provide truthful and accurate information. Card Compact acts only as intermediary and technical platform; the information originates from Boniversum, and we assume no liability for its accuracy, completeness or currency. The check is free. In connection with your contractual relationship we transmit data relating to the application, performance and termination of the relationship to Boniversum for a creditworthiness assessment, and we may report non-performance or fraud where permissible after weighing the interests involved; you release us from banking secrecy to that extent. Any claim about the credit information itself is directed to Boniversum. Details are in our privacy notice.

2.4 Gift cards

We sell digital gift cards in our own name and account through the king App to holders of an active king account or king club Membership, sourced through our distribution partner Tillo Ltd. Gift cards are digital content supplied against payment and are delivered digitally, normally immediately after payment authorisation; redemption is with the respective provider under its terms and those of Tillo. Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, it expires before the end of the withdrawal period only if you have expressly consented to us beginning performance before the period ends, you have confirmed that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, and we have provided you, on a durable medium, with confirmation of the contract including that consent and confirmation (Sections 356(5) and 312f of the German Civil Code). Until these conditions are met, your right of withdrawal is unaffected. Our liability is limited to the proper provision of the gift card; we are not responsible for its redeemability or validity with the provider, save where mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise. A gift card already delivered remains valid until its expiry date even if your Membership or account ends.

2.5 Social-media promotions and sweepstakes

We run promotions and prize draws in connection with the king products through social-media channels. Participation is free, does not require a purchase, and is open to persons of legal age; the specific action, period, prize and draw method are published for each promotion. We may exclude a participant who manipulates the promotion, gives false information, or submits unlawful or offensive content. Prizes cannot be paid out in cash, transferred or exchanged; winners are contacted through the channel used for entry and must respond within the stated period, failing which the prize may be redrawn. For a physical prize, risk passes to you on handover to the delivery service, and we are not liable for delivery delays outside our control; if a prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside our control, an equivalent replacement may be provided. We may modify or end a promotion for good reason without entitling participants to a prize. Personal data is processed only to run the promotion and is deleted no later than 30 days after it ends, subject to statutory retention.

3 Common provisions

3.1 Changes to these Terms

We may change these Card Compact Terms for a valid reason, in particular a change in law or regulation, a security requirement, or a change to the services. We notify you of any change on a durable medium at least two months before it takes effect, together with the reason. A change that does not disadvantage you or is merely minor, such as an editorial correction or a new optional feature, is deemed accepted unless you object before it takes effect; the notice tells you that your silence counts as acceptance and that you may terminate the affected service free of charge before the change takes effect. A change that disadvantages you takes effect only if you agree to it; if you do not agree, the affected service continues on the existing terms or either of us may end it on the notice stated. For digital features within Sections 327 following of the German Civil Code, we may change a feature beyond what is needed to maintain conformity only for a valid reason, at no extra cost to you and with durable-medium notice, and where such a change adversely affects your access or use other than marginally you may terminate the affected feature free of charge within 30 days. This clause does not affect the change mechanism for the Account and Card in the Issuer Terms.

3.2 Governing law and mandatory consumer protection

These Card Compact Terms and any dispute arising from the Card Compact services are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Nothing in these Terms deprives you, as a consumer, of the protection of the provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence that cannot be derogated from by agreement (Article 6, Regulation (EC) No 593/2008, Rome I).

3.3 Language

We tell you the languages in which these Terms and the pre-contractual information are available and in which you can communicate with us. We provide the withdrawal instruction and the mandatory pre-contractual information in a language agreed with you or in an official language of the market in which the product is offered to you, and we communicate with you in that language or in English.

3.4 Liability (Card Compact services)

For the Card Compact services we are liable only in the event of intent or gross negligence, breach of an essential obligation, or injury to life, body or health; this does not limit any liability that cannot be limited by law. Liability of the issuers for the Account, Card and e-money is governed by the Issuer Terms.

3.5 Data protection

We process personal data for the Card Compact services in accordance with applicable data-protection law and our privacy notice, available at Privacy policy. Where a service requires it, we share data with the relevant partner, in particular Creditreform Boniversum GmbH for a credit check and Tillo Ltd for a gift-card purchase, to the extent necessary to provide that service.

3.6 Incorporated policies

Our Privacy Policy and our Complaints Policy in their current versions form part of these Terms for the Card Compact services. We may change them under clause 3.1.

3.7 Assignment

We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms to another company on two months’ notice, without affecting your rights; if you do not accept the assignment you may terminate the affected service free of charge before it takes effect. If you do not pay a fee due for a Card Compact service after two reminders, we may pass the claim to a collection service provider.

3.8 Place of jurisdiction

Where you are a merchant or a legal entity under public law, the place of jurisdiction for disputes arising from the Card Compact services is our registered office. This does not affect any court a consumer may bring proceedings before, or be sued before, under mandatory law.

3.9 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.
