Cocora Valley with the world’s tallest wax palms is Instagram gold. The Coffee Triangle around Armenia showcases the best coffee culture in the world. Tayrona National Park offers gorgeous Caribbean beaches.

Restaurants: 10% is customary, sometimes already included. Bars: 1000-2000 Pesos per drink. Taxis: Round up. Coffee tours: $2-5 USD per person. Hotels: 5000-10000 Pesos per day.

Important: Mountain roads are winding. Pico y Placa (driving restrictions based on license plate) in major cities. Motorcycles are everywhere. Alcohol limit: 0.2 per mille.

Currency & Payment

Colombia uses the Peso (COP). Card payment is widespread in cities. Cash is important for small shops and rural areas. US Dollars are rarely accepted.
